then i played it. it was impressive, certainly, but the number of bugs and problems with the game make it a one-and-done title for me. for starters, the menus are glitchy and slow. you can only save your scores and rewind a game on the main menu. there is no pause button in the pause menu, so you can’t wait for a pinball wizard to make a score. at the end of every game, the table info screen says that the ball is set to disappear after seven seconds, but the game doesn’t let you set it to disappear sooner.
the tables themselves are pretty fun, though. all six are based on retro pinball themes. to find the right ball for each table, you have to make your own pinball wizard. once you do, you’re tasked with nailing the ball in the machine’s scoring mechanism to make your wizard’s score. you get points for doing this, and you can add tokens to your wizard to improve his performance.
