26-27. Parasurama said: ‘Dattatreya, I am perfectly satisfied with Your instruction, but I cannot understand what You mean when You say that the work is the Self. I can see clearly that the Being called Tripura manifests out of the Brahman. I understand that the Self is also an object of the senses and is not otherwise. But it is difficult for me to understand that, “the being called Tripura is the doer of the work”. I can see clearly that the Eternal is the Self. The Self is absolutely beyond the senses, without attributes, unchangeable, immanent in Brahman and in all Beings. I can see that the Self is manifest in the actions of the senses. But, I cannot understand that the Self is the doer of the work. It is the Self who is the doer of the work. There is a mystery about the Self. It is not a mystery to me.
