I’m going to do the I told you so s real fast because they are meaningless. “We” is a pronoun representing conservatives and liberty minded individuals of every race, creed, and color.
We told you the election was rigged.
We told you being energy dependent after spending so much time, money, and energy to become energy independent, was a fool’s errand.
We told you the communists were taking over the country.
We told you the republic was dead.
We told you printing money would create inflation. That inflation is a tax on the poor.
We told you China was planning to invade Taiwan.
We told you that not understanding history puts one at a disadvantage when dealing with the present.
We told you masks do not really do what they are advertised to.
We told you that the Great Barrington Declaration got it right in October 2020 and were subsequently silenced.
We told you that shutting down the economy would do more harm than covid ever could.
Fifty years from now, those last two facts will be the historical summary of the covid pandemic.
Here we are, so soon after the masks come off. I was following the courageous truckers in Canada as well as the States, when Ukraine suddenly knocked the wind out of all of us. What truckers? What masks? The term ‘existential threat’ is no longer tied to the flu or climate change. Now it’s called mutually assured nuclear annihilation, baby.
But the truckers roll on. The People’s Convoy is approximately 20 miles long and will soon arrive in Washington DC to protest the ongoing federal “state of emergency” and a more poignant proposition: that we have veered too far from our Constitutional roots and it’s time to go back to the fundamental principles this country was founded on. Talk about a dose of reality for all those un-tethered pseudo intellectuals! Just as a Russian convoy enters Kiev, an American convoy will circle DC. The irony is irresistible.
Actually the Russians are bogged down due to their own inadequacies and a fearless Ukrainian force of guerrillas – some in uniform, some without, all with conviction and bravery extraordinaire. The Russians are running out of food, probably having resupply problems just as George Patton did, just as Napoleon did, just as Caesar did, and let’s don’t forget General Sherman as he blazed his way across the south. Time plus distance plus numbers of people equals hunger. Every time. In the illustrious words of Dwight D. Eisenhower, “The amateurs talk about strategy, the experts talk logistics.” I must follow that with my favorite Lt. Colon’s remark “Ya got 10,000 troops. Ya gotta go 1,000 miles. How ya gunna get ’em there?”
After two years of endless dribbling bullshit, I am horrified by the situation yet inspired by the people in Ukraine; all the while grounded – finally – by reality. This war is as real as it gets, and for those millions of morons with an opinion about masks, I just hope they keep quiet for a while and let the adults back in the room. Trouble is, we did not elect adults.
Pay attention cupcakes! You are now about to see the world as it is, not as you would have it be.
This is what a real dictator is all about, a devout communist party believer, China’s mentor and silent partner. Olympics first, then the invasion. Is this where you want our country to go? State sponsored everything?
The first casualty of any war is truth, which sounds so trite these days since truth has been relegated to some gray area between narrative and lie. We have decimated our own language you see. We have desecrated our own border too, so Russia does not think much about desecrating Ukraine’s border because they have a narrative. Remember folks, the Russians invented this Marxist ploy, what I have called Rule #1. They accuse YOU of doing exactly what they are up to.
So the Russians say that Ukraine bombed their own nuclear power plant. Of course they did. Russia says they are “liberating” Ukraine. Of course they are. The Ukrainians are blowing up their own cities. Russia is coming to save them. Sound familiar?
Logistically, Putin is in so much trouble. He continues falling back with the nuclear threat, a threat that is so impossibly immense, we dare not risk against his desperation. It is time for cooler heads to prevail, but alas, we have only our woke diplomats in Europe and here to do the talking. The adults are sitting this one out. In fact, the adults have been sidelined and silenced which is why Putin made this move in the first place. He saw us in Afghanistan.
The UN has no teeth. The Russians sit on the most important committee! They chair it! NATO can barely remember what NATO stands for, let alone how to marshal the wherewithal to deal with a true tyrant. Politicians across the globe have practiced petty tyranny behind the Chinese flu and now a real tyrant is showing them the end game. The ironies go on and on.
That’s how you know it’s real. Irony defines humanity.
Since 1948, or maybe 1920, the US has pitted itself against the communist. They have infiltrated every institution known to man and damaged every society on the planet. They promise utopia and bring only madness. Here we are, once again facing mother Russia in a show down. Marx would be proud.
The problem is, we have no leadership. We must hope the Europeans can find one.
