SQL Server 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2016 unable to connect to each other
I have SQL Server 2000 with SQL Server 2008 R2 and I’m trying to manage the database.
I must have a backup of the database with SQL Server 2016 and I need to do this.
I cannot connect from SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2016.
I did a test to connect to Database 1 (2000) with SQL Server 2016 (Service Pack 3) and it worked. This shows that the driver and the version of the drivers are not the cause of the issue.
If I make a backup of the database and try to connect to the SQL Server 2016, I get the error below.
I’m aware that those two products are not a compatible product, but the SQL Server 2016 can create a backup that I can restore with SQL Server 2000. I tried the same thing, but I’m in the same situation with SQL Server 2016, not SQL Server 2000.
When I try to start the SQL Server 2016 service from the SQL Server 2000, it says this:
Error 5505 (myAppName) : The SQL Server service account either does not
have sufficient Access to SQL Server or was not found on the system

While writing a Visual Novel that involves all sorts of Stories about supernatural stuff, I have found many cool Stories to share with you all, and bring a bit of awareness to many religious topics that have always been there, yet no one dared to talk about them.
