This game has been over 8 years in development. It’s the game that started it all. Boom, you’re on the ground, your down to your last bullet. How many times have you fallen for that scare tactic? Pretty much imo the best side-scrolling monster slayer out there for the PS3.If you like old school monster slaying, look no further, this is the game for you.Gameplay has a ton of depth, I’ve never had a single mission I couldn’t complete or couldn’t beat. The game is soo huge and expansive, it’d be a ripoff to call it short.The graphics and sound are both good, the textures look incredible. The animation can get a little irritating when shooting a dinosaur, however, at least in the older ones. The soundtrack is really good, I love the way the older tunes are played through the PS3. Over the course of 20+ hours I listened to all of the tracks, so it’s very well done. They are generally very upbeat which suits the subject matter well.The missions are all original (from my experience), and go the extra mile to make sure you have a challenge. The game is so much more than just “kill the monster, get loot, repeat”. There are many bonus features, like epic boss fights and multiple endings. And even if you are good at the game and know how to kill everything, there is a perk/bonus ending that gives you a sword, and a few bonus secrets you can unlock. In the end, while I may have issues with the audio, I have no complaints with this game. It’s one of the best monster slayer/raider games out there, and if you like side-scrolling action/RPG’s, this is your game.Go buy it. Played for a bit and can’t find anything wrong with it.
