Head up, gravity gun in your hands, you are a shoot-man. A bullet acrobat will jump on balloons that he finds on the screen, use gravity gun to blow them up. But, mind you, each balloon has an unique behavior, so use what you learned to blow them up right!
The game of pop-POPixel is made with pixelart and made for fun. Its story is not important, if you are looking for a time sink and a puzzle game (which is very fun) with loads of levels, colorfull pixelart and a very enjoyable soundtrack, you’re in the right place. This is a casual game, and it was made because it was fun.
FlatGameArt has released two new worlds and as you can see, there are still three coming. 🙂
When I made this game, I wanted to present flatpixelart to the gaming public and you guys could have a good time blowing up balloons in a totally new way.

Hi, welcome to our new video for Arcane Tower! Arcane Tower is a completely free 2D survival game. It was made by an independent developer with the goal of creating a real escape game. We feel that escape games have lost their popularity over the past few years, and we wish to bring that excitement back into their designs.
When I say “escape games” I am referring to the genre of game that existed before the success of puzzle games and the emergence of puzzle escape games. These games used a series of puzzles to escape from a game to reveal the final solution. Games such as The Legend of Zelda, Katamari Damacy, Chu Chu Rocket, and other recent games have offered many interesting puzzles that are actually based in gameplay. Most puzzle games are based on the same mechanic – contain a lock, a key, a safe, and some sort of timer. While it makes for a great puzzle, it really doesn’t contribute much to gameplay, and it is just a way to make a game look interesting. When creating Arcane Tower, our only goal was to create a fun gameplay experience that was as immersive as possible.
While the game does have puzzles, they are not merely gimmicks to increase the length of gameplay, they are a core part of the gameplay. Arcane Tower is a 2D game, and has a great gameplay feel. We have adopted the idea of a building from the first “escape game” I ever played – where you have a character trapped in a room, and need to locate items and push blocks to escape. This gameplay is fun because it is physically active, but you still have a large amount of idle time where you can explore the environment, look for objects, and play around with the mechanics of the world.

Gloomstrider is a middle-tier dungeon in Shards of Zavatsan where a couple dozen fighting Thalmor assassins wait to ambush parties of bandits.

A new tier is added to Middle Earth every single month. With additions like the Moria set, an officially-recognized collection of Gloomstrider extensions (the Minas Morgul set), the entire Shimmering Shores set, and now the complete Arcane Tower set, I get the sense that the lore team has apparently started to greenlight a new tier every month. The year is still young, and it would be surprising to see that continue, but in an increasingly cluttered world of high-end content, I think they’ve added a tier to the group every month since The Old Forest was announced.
The problems with this has already been documented on the blog, but I might as well go on and discuss them for any newcomers. For one, the Endless Stairwell set makes good use of the existing labyrinthine layout, but I think that if the tiers are going to contain several dungeons of the same sort, it makes sense to use the whole expansion as a kind of conduit to get players to these smaller dungeons. For another, the addition of a weird mini-boss that should have been a fight more than a random NPC makes no sense as they tend to fit into a 3 person start group a bit too well. And most importantly, there are “fun moments” in the rotation from the five dungeons. Both Cair Andrath and Cirith Ungol line up very nicely to a 2 month dungeon rotation that has the 5 and 7 day dungeons split between T1 and T2. It is fairly necessary to spend a week in the Tower to get the most from the set, but not especially necessary to be in there for two weeks.
That being said, this set has some problems that make it a difficult purchase for me as a pandemic player. The first is the addition of a crafting component that is totally random. Aziz, the furnace vendor in the Vanishing Portal NPCGuild near the beginning of the set, has run out of all of the MoL materials except ore (are you out?).
