1. Field of the Invention This invention relates to novel copolymers of an ethylene-vinyl acetate terpolymer, which is the copolymer of a terpolymer comprising ethylene-vinyl acetate, ethylene and a polar monomer, said copolymer being useful as a molding material and a coating material, as well as a process for the production of the same. 2. Description of the Prior Art It is well known that ethylene homopolymers such as ethylene homopolymers and ethylene-propylene copolymers are not only effective as molding materials but also excellent in transparency, weather resistance and flexibility. On the other hand, because of moldability of the ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer, the copolymer is used as a coating or molding material. Further, because of transparency, weather resistance and flexibility of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is used not only as a coating material but also as a molding material. However, the conventional ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers used as a molding material and coating material exhibit only inadequate properties with respect to moldability, particularly mold release properties and mold shrinkage resistance, as well as coating film appearance, weather resistance and flexibility. The present inventors previously proposed a method which comprises copolymerizing ethylene, ethylene-propylene, an acrylic ester of a polyol having one or more hydroxyl groups and a polar monomer in the presence of an organosilicon compound and found that ethylene-ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymers obtained by the method have excellent moldability, particularly mold release properties and mold shrinkage resistance as well as high film appearance, weather resistance and flexibility (Japanese Patent Application No. 109338/1975, which corresponds to U.S. Pat. No. 4,008,227). However, it was found that when the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer obtained by the method is used as a coating material and molded, the mold release properties and mold shrinkage resistance are much lower than that of a resin having lower ethylene content, and the resultant molded articles have rather poor appearance and weather resistance.
