Tekla Structural Designer 2013 introduced new features such as Freeze, which is an intuitive tool to freeze the animation loop as the user changes a scheme; which is a beneficial user experience that allows engineers to easily control the simulation. In addition to Freeze, Tekla Structural Designer 2013 introduced an improvement to the Looseness calculation for exceeding the opening of a panel, a critical measurement often overlooked. Improved functionality has also been implemented in regards to the calculation of stress and strain for both the interior and exterior loads. Future enhancements are being incorporated in Tekla Structural Designer 2013 to make it even better for the design of all types of structures.

Tekla Structural Designer 2019 continues to improve upon the set-up of the software. Users can configure the input, output and detailing configuration parameters, which can save time and avoid issues such as creating designs with mismatched input and output settings.

Tekla Structural Designer 2020 continues to evolve as a critical part of the entire Tekla system. With the latest release, we improve the capabilities of the software which is used to develop structures in 3D. The newest features introduce 2 exciting new tools: a module and an Importer. With the module, the software enables users to build-in their own modules and integrate with any Tekla system components, including the Tekla Basis SDK. The migratee is on by default and can be turned off should you wish to control the data independently. Even with the system data at hand, the user can go back to a well known design to fix a constraint or get a better topological view using the explore tools. The user can now get back to the design tree quickly using the fast tree selection. These enhancements are all part of Tekla Design 2020 released earlier this year, and were chosen to solve workflow enhancements required to speed up the design process to deliver faster and better designs.
