File Description:
C/n 2675 was delivered to Air France on August 9, 1951 as L-749A F-BBDT. Bought by Royal Air Maroc on January 28, 1960 and registered CN-CCN. Converted to Freighter and fitted with a front cargo door in November 1961. In June 1970 withdrawn from use and transferred to Royal Air Maroc Centre de Formation Professionnelle at Anfa Airport, Casablanca (Morocco) as a training airframe for ground training. Since 1990 no longer in use but restored and repainted in period Royal Air Maroc colors of 2004/05 and parked outside.

Textures only. The FS2004/FSX Lockheed L-749 Constellation Base Kit (lockheed749.zip) and the update kit (749_models_update.zip) must be installed.

And finally at the end you have 2 Boeing Boeing 270-F Transport Helicopters from a Boeing-Vertol C-141 Starlifter (historical). It looks similar to the F-2, but of course these are not the same.

Now let’s talk about this aircraft, C/n 2676. It was built for the Royal Air Maroc in 1961, it was a single seat twin engine helicopter used by the service to transport passengers from the port of Casablanca to its fields in the High Atlas Mountains. It had a twin boom and tricycle landing gear and was powered by two Pratt and Whitney piston engines.

This aircraft was retired in 1981 and converted to a cargo aircraft and fitted with an extra set of engines in the fuselage to propel the external cargo door that was fitted to it. In 1990 all the engines were removed and the aircraft was painted into the standard jet colors of Royal Air Maroc. It went on to be used to transport parcels and mail between the various fields in the Atlas Mountains and close to the coast of Morocco. This aircraft was purchased by The Private Air Trust in 2005 and was used for aerial mapping of the various Atlas Mountains. It was then donated to The Airports Museum in September of 2007 and it is currently undergoing restoration.

Aerosoft have put a lot of effort into the scenery, so there is a lot of work that they have put into it. The scenery comes in a huge 1.12gig size disk, so once you have the scenery loaded, just copy it to your scenario install directory and you are ready to go. The scenery comes with a readme file with full instructions of how to install and run it. The scenery also includes flightsimware version 23.0.1 or later, so if you are new to X-Plane you will need to have the latest update version installed. The climate is desert with temperatures of 80ºF and above in the summer, although the coastal areas of Essaouira and Casablanca have a maritime climate. There is also a wetter climate at the mountain ranges, and that is not the Sahara desert, but that of the Atlas Mountains. Morocco hosts the Sahara Dessert, and you can only imagine the climatic effects. The summer in this country lasts from June to August when the heat is unbearably fierce, just like the dessert. However, the weather gets pleasant as you move towards the coastal towns around the Atlantic coast like Casablanca and Essaouira. There is a nice and temperate climate along the Mediterranean Sea on the north coast and the Rif Mountain ranges, with the days being long, hot, and sunny.
