a quick check on the official forums showed its been over a year since we last heard anything from them. In fact they said they werent going to patch either Phantasy Star Universe or Phantasy Star Online. It does seem as if the clock is ticking and with each passing day the community is smaller, they say they are listening to their concerns but it just doesnt seem like they are trying very hard. There are issues with the american version (and they even failed at fixing those). That isnt stopping them from trying to rush out the Europe and Japan release, which hasnt seemed to be ready just yet. They said its just a matter of waiting and they will come out with more information. I really feel like they arent working on these issues, they have people working on them but nothing seems to be coming of it. Even a very short post on their Facebook page shows theres no movement on a release date. I realize they need more time, but SEGA is making an impression on the North American market with other games and with the big announcement of the reboot of Sonic the Hedgehog, they need to better its reputation before Phantasy Star has a second chance in western markets. If the game doesnt exist in the west, who is going to buy it on the US PlayStation 4 online store? They need to make a better presentation than just saying the game isnt done. It means money is being wasted on getting it to the west and maintaining the servers. They should at least show an image of the game. They really need to at least show us a picture of it being played by someone else, even a fake screenshot. If you dont want people to think the game isnt done, then get an image up and get it out! I want to see the game! As a die-hard fan of the series, i want to know what is being done and what is really going on with the project. I really want to know if its going to happen or not, if the project is being revived or just slowed to a crawl. If its been that long, i want to know why. A small online wait room should be enough to satisfy my curiosity, not worrying about infringing on someone elses servers and bandwidth.
