Next, we need to change our wifi config files. In previous Huawei firmwares we could simply browse to “HW//HG658c/” to find all the files that make up the wifi config. Unfortunately, in the latest version of the config you have to manually “open” the file to see the settings. Normally, this is accomplished through the user interface. Open your “firmware” folder and open “HW/HG658c/Hg658c_bn.bin”. Then, select “Show all files”. Open the file that says “config” or “config_bin” and make sure you have the “Show hidden files” ticked on in the top right corner. This will make the file appear much more clearly on screen.
