Adobe Photoshop – The Adobe Photoshop software’s two main variants are Photoshop CS and Photoshop CC. Photoshop CS was initially developed by the now-defunct Macromedia and was the first version of Photoshop to run natively on Mac OS. Today Photoshop CS is discontinued and to this day, is available for macOS 10.6 or later.

Among other features, Photoshop CC has excellent support for file formats and works with layers and other features to create powerful files. It has decent support for photo and video editing and 3D modelling.

Although some of these features are available in the other Adobe products, Photoshop seems to have a lot more tools and features. Some of the features like 3D tools or advanced filters are only available in Photoshop, and some powerful tools are only available in Photoshop.

Although Photoshop runs on many platforms and is available for a wide range of devices, Photoshop is not probably the best tool for web designers especially if they want to switch to something like InDesign. As mentioned earlier, Photoshop is not the right tool for everyone. So if you are someone who wants to learn new KPI and tools and wants to expand your design skills, I would suggest you move to something like Sketch.

With Share for Review Beta, users can easily work on a document together without ever leaving Photoshop. When you click Share for Review in Photoshop, you can start a new Copy and Paste document or open an existing one. Next, you need to decide who you want to work with—click Change Participant, and choose your collaborators. A connected version of Photoshop (read-only mode) opens automatically. The user who creates the document can use one keyboard shortcut to start the editing session and another keyboard shortcut to end it. When using a connected version, the app uses the device’s screen space when descending into the document, and resumes working in the connected version after closing it.

Then, your collaborators can start editing and make adjustments on their own, no matter what device they’re on. If the document is opened in read-only mode, they can view contents as usual and interact with the document in the same way as before. When the user who created the document clicks Share for Review, and then clicks Open, their collaborator’s version opens in the browser. In read-only mode, the user has full editing powers, just like their collaborator.

Share for Review is available in Photoshop CC 2019 (19.2), CC 2018 (18.2), and CC 2017 (17.2) trials. So I’m writing to encourage you as a long-time Macintosh user to consider how you might best work with these changes. There will be some adjustments and changes in the apps’ user interface, which could require you to re-learn something. With that in mind, we created this quick tutorial to help help make sure you know how to work with the new features that are coming in upcoming updates of Photoshop.

The app has been rebuilt to use the new native Software Rendering Engine (SRE) that is designed to allow the software to be rendered with Near-native quality (or even better) using GPU hardware acceleration.
