Hemodynamics was measured in four patients with lymphoedema (group I) and 14 normal subjects (group II). In patients with lymphoedema (group I), both resting and exercise-induced peripheral blood flow in the lower limb decrease in comparison with normal subjects. In the resting state, the peripheral resistance index (RP/RPd) and the venoarterial oxygen difference (VO2 – PAO2) were also significantly higher. The increases in peripheral resistance and venoarterial oxygen difference during exercise were not statistically significant, but both indices were correlated with the lymphoedema volume.Delay in diagnosis and treatment of cancer leads to poor prognosis in many types of cancers. We hypothesize that a specific panel of miRNAs will be able to accurately diagnose oral cancer. We further hypothesize that miRNAs which are up-regulated or down-regulated during therapeutic remission will provide a molecular diagnostic biomarker to predict the presence of disease and therapeutic response.
