foo skip allows you to skip tracks that match a specified search query. By default the component will skip all files with RATING set to 1. The query is configured in Preferences -> Advanced -> Playback -> Skip Tracks.
Time expressions are also supported. For example to skip all bad or recently played files you can use the following query: %rating% IS 1 OR %last_played% DURING LAST 8 HOURS
The component also offers functionality to skip only parts of a track. To utilize the partial skipping set a tag field SKIP with timecodes that you want skipped. For example SKIP=0:00:00-0:01:25 (or simply SKIP=-0:01:25) to skip the first 85 seconds.
Track skipping has a few milliseconds of delay before activating which may allow beginning of gapless tracks to be heard. If you wish to have perfect glitchless skipping please add Skip Track into the DSP chain.

There are two ways of splitting tracks.
Most likely the track file size is way too big for just one track. In this case the track is split into 2. Both tracks will be visible in the media player. The splitted track can be merged back into one file again to get a single track.

If track split is not supported the audio quality of the whole track will be very bad.

If your computer is not configured to support H.264/AVC you can change the rendering output of the component. When H.264/AVC is available you can add the next line in the “Preferences -> Advanced -> Video Rendering” section to enable H.264/AVC as default rendering

Amount of smoothing to apply to all gauspans. This property is expressed in dB. The default value is 20. If this is zero, no smoothing is applied. This property is applied after the gaussian parameters have been applied.
GAUSPAN_FREQUENCY_SCALING
Determines the frequency of all gauspans. This value is determined by the order and zeroes of the Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter in the audio chain. The GAUSPAN_FREQUENCY_SCALING is multiplied with GAUSPAN_GAIN_SCALING to determine the gain applied.

Count the number of matching tracks, and give another count for the last played tracks. Since the user needs to tap-to-loop a toggle is provided so that the last_played count is not blocked by the counter.
The %loop% condition can also be used to skip tracks that begin with a number or special character. For example, to skip all tracks whose number begins with 5 you could use:

Time expressions can also be used in compound queries.

This time the component will only listen to the last 8 hours of the last_played field. The %last_played% tag is used since the component skips over it.
