Portable cFos Personal Net Security includes a security tool that allows you to check the integrity of your portable edition’s files to ensure it does not contain any viruses or ransomware.
It works by comparing the hashes of the files and folders available on the system with the hashes reported by the Portable cFos Personal Net service. Even if you don’t trust Portable cFos Personal Net entirely (which is a good thing, because you should never share any file you want to protect), you can check files and folders.
Thus, this security solution allows you to verify the local files by analyzing the hash (SHA-256) of each file/folder.
However, you’ll still have to trust the Portable cFos Personal Net server. In other words, you’ll have to trust that its code is not malicious. If this happens, the Portable cFos Personal Net Security tool will display a warning stating that the SHA-256 hash of the files has been changed by someone.
