vDos is a DOS emulator software utility for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It is a fast and complete DOS emulator. vDos is the perfect tool for people who do not have time or do not want to install and configure DOSBox and want to enjoy DOS programs in their modern Windows environment. vDos is not a virtual machine. You need to do some manual steps to configure the emulator for your needs, but it has less restrictions than a virtual machine DOS emulator. An offline installation is required.

Create Your First Apple II+ Image on Windows 10 with a Pictlo
Image. I’m going to assume you have some basic understanding of image creation and probably how to download pictlos onto Windows.
This is a collection of eight of my favorite pictlos to create an Apple II image using an old Win10 computer. All of these can be done in one fell swoop and all three versions have the exact same result.
To create the Apple II image with the selected pictlo:
Select or create a directory for the pictlo to be placed within (e.g., C:\Pictlo if your computer is set to show the Desktop) and then select the pictlo you want to use from the Directory of your choice.
Log in to Windows and use the Start Menu to open the Pictlo section of the File Explorer. Then click on the Load pictlo button to the left of the pictlo that you would like to use.
Click Yes when you see the message saying “Do you want to load this Pictlo?” and be sure to click Yes to “Load” the pictlo.
A new window should appear with a download bar. It will also list the files and folders within the directory you chose to load from.
Download and open the pictlo that you would like to use.
Close the program that you were using and follow these steps to create an Apple II image using the Pictlo:
