Thanks for downloading Elden Ring! This game has a wide variety of items that have their unique effects. Some items can be used while you are using another item, while others are usable only at specific stages in the game. This is because the development of the game is still ongoing, and we are polishing the game as we work toward the final release. With that in mind, you may encounter some of the following situations, and we are always keeping our eyes open for any new unique effects that could be added to the game as we polish it.
Point 1: Character Name
We are currently testing a prototype of the game, so your character name that is displayed in the game is named “Tarnished Hero.” The final name will be announced along with the development of the game, so please wait for it until then.
Point 2: Special Weapon
In the game, you can wield a weapon that is equipped to a special slot of a character. When you equip a weapon to a special slot, you are able to receive a weapon that has a unique effect (Unique Effect). The unique effect can give you various effects based on the type of the weapon.
While some of the Unique Effects are already known, we are still considering adding new Unique Effects. For that reason, we cannot promise the details of the effects currently known.
Point 3: The Class Switch
In the game, you can change the class of a character in the game by equipping the class change gear (Class Change Gear) to a special slot of a character.
The Class Change Gear is usable only when you have at least 7 Class Change Gems (Class Change Gems).
You can switch the class with a bar above the slot where the class change gear is equipped. The class change has three effects. You can see the effects when you equip the Class Change Gear.
Point 4: Equipment Upgrades
You can equip the upgrade of equipment (Equipment Upgrades) to a special slot of a character to raise the attack, defense, magic or the speed of a certain element.
Due to the unique effects of the elements, the character with the highest level of the element and the highest level of the upgraded equipment, will be able to have an effect above the normal level of the effect.
