Virtual USB Port
The MFP utility will install a virtual USB port on your PC. Therefore, the Multi-Function printer will appear as if it is your local USB printers on your PC.
Auto Release Function
Since only one PC can access the Virtual USB Port at once. The MFP server performs task switching between different PCs. Therefore, the MFP server should posses the ability to automatically release the MFP printer when the function is not in used.
Print Server Function
For scanning and faxing, the operations require user to attend the machine. Therefore, task switching is acceptable. However, the printer sharing function should accept request from all users simultaneously. That’s why the AirLive MFP server also integrates a full feature print server function to handle network printer sharing.

Windows Installation Demo 1. Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide to install AirLive MFP Server. 2. Install the printer driver, AirLive MFP Server will automatically install the software.

AirShare Utility
With this utility, you can share your printer with all your Windows computers in your network, faxing and scanning documents in Windows Explorer.
AirScribe Utility
This is a utility for scanning and faxing in Windows Explorer. AirScribe Utility scans documents automatically, printing out the scanned documents in your local network printers, or faxing to other computers in your network.
AirPrint Utility
This is a utility for printing documents from Windows Explorer. AirPrint Utility enables you to print documents directly from the Windows Explorer by specifying the printer, document, paper type and layout parameters. AirPrint Utility uses the protocols defined in Apple’s AirPrint standard specification.

All features are configurable by using the AirLive MFP Server Administrator. You can specify the access location for the printer. You can specify which type of printers will be visible to the client (Ethernet printers, USB printers, etc). You can specify whether the client will be able to print to the printer(s), scan to the printer(s), or fax to the printer(s) for sharing. You can select the required connectivity for the client (Dial-up, LAN, etc). You can specify the printer or print queue name, the virtual serial port, local IP address or the TCP/IP address to be used by the client.
You can specify optional settings for the scanners. You can specify the type of scanner (Ethernet, USB, etc). You can specify the name and location of the scanner. You can specify the optional parameters such as the communication protocol. You can specify the COM port of the scanner.
You can specify optional settings for the faxes. You can specify the type of the modem (in case you need multiple modems for your client), the name and location of the fax, the type of the fax (ATM, Voice, etc). You can specify the optional parameters for the fax such as the communication protocol, etc.
You can select the optional settings such as the unique name, the printer, fax, and print queue that will be presented to the client. You can specify the access location, the physical location of the client(s) on the network, and the optional settings for the client(s).

The Web Admin is a web server providing different functions to ease the administration and management of the Server.
* ViewePrint:
ViewePrint is a management tool that is using an interactive web-based graphical user interface that allows you to see what is happening on your printer(s) from anywhere on the internet. It also allows printing system management and administration.

Client Management is the main tools to manage your clients. It allows you to create clients and to manage them. (When you use the Client Management tools, the settings you have applied are saved on each client’s machine)

Appliance Mode
In AirLive MFP Server, the default Mode of the MFP printer is appliance mode, which is a mode that contains a printer software for shared printing function that is using the multi-function printer printer as the server and the printer client as the client.
This mode provides the user to access to the printer from their computer(s) or mobile devices by connecting to the server through the network using the IP address or domain name of the server.
The user has access to print documents, scans, and fax documents through the server and client.
Configurations
A multi-function printer has many configuration settings. These settings can be applied to the individual printers, the entire server, or the client(s) that use the server’s functions.
By default, the AirLive MFP Server allows you to automatically configure the server for appliance mode. In this configuration, the shared printer functions are automatically configured. However, the IP address of the server and its hostname are required.
If you wish to change the mode (from appliance mode to desktop mode), you must delete the settings that are required
